Pixeldeed Roadmap: The Path From Property to Ecosystem
Why "phases," not "dates"
Most roadmaps promise dates - Q1, Q2, Q3. But in crypto, a date is the easiest promise to break. Pixeldeed ships in four phases, with each phase launching only once it's ready, rather than on a fixed calendar. That doesn't mean slower - it means the sequence is right.
Each of Phase 2, 3, and 4 is built directly on top of what came before it. If the foundation isn't solid, anything built on it is on shaky ground.
Phase 1 - OWN (we are here)
"Buy the pixel. Own the deed."
What's already live on Mainnet:
- Mint (whitelist + public)
- Ownership (non-custodial, verified onchain)
- Resale (secondary market with a 5.5% commission)
- Rental (rental market with a 2.5% commission)
- Ad content (displaying content on your Block)
This is the dual-purpose foundation phase: on one hand, it gives users real, usable property; on the other, it lays the infrastructure for every phase that follows. Buy, Own, Rent, Advertise, Earn, Trade - the full cycle is already running.
Phase 2 - BUILD
"Build on your deed."
Where Phase 1 secured ownership, Phase 2 focuses on how to make that ownership worth more:
- Billboard - a large, high-visibility advertising format
- Homepage Takeover - a placement that puts your Block in front of every visitor first
- Historic Mode - the ability to view and track the grid's historical changes
- Sponsored Search - featuring Blocks when users search the grid
Each of these features does one thing: it turns a Block from a "static image" into an active marketing tool. This is the phase that feeds directly into rental income.
Phase 3 - PROGRAM
"Your deed is programmable."
This is where Pixeldeed shifts to a qualitatively different level. A Block stops being just an NFT that displays an image and becomes composable - meaning logic and permissions attach directly to the Block itself.
What does that mean in practice? For example:
- Making a Block's content change automatically under certain conditions
- Building smart contract logic that manages multiple Blocks at once
- Letting third-party apps operate directly on a Block's data
This is the phase where focus shifts from "what you own" to "what your ownership can do."
Phase 4 - ECOSYSTEM
"Build the onchain internet."
The final phase carries the biggest vision: Pixeldeed stops being just a destination users visit, and becomes the infrastructure other onchain products are built on top of.
This is the same role that a standard like ERC-20 plays on Ethereum, or that other protocols play on top of Robinhood Chain - Pixeldeed becomes the base layer, and other projects build new products and new use cases on top of it.
Conclusion: Property to Utility to Programmability to Infrastructure
Laid out in order, the four phases trace one clear line:
Own (basic ownership) leads to Build (making that ownership more valuable), which leads to Program (making that ownership smart), which leads to Ecosystem (making that ownership infrastructure).
This isn't just an advertising platform - it's a long-term path toward becoming the property layer of the internet itself.
The property layer of the onchain internet.
